Success in an ever-improving field: IR Society Best Practice Awards 2015
On 24 November, the Tower of London played host to the IR Society’s Best Practice Awards 2015 – their annual celebration of IR achievements and hard work – with a brilliant evening of entertainment, food and cocktails.
This year had the biggest attendance to date with well over 500 industry professionals. Hosting duties were taken on by star of ‘Live at the Apollo’ and BBC2’s ‘Mock the Week’, Shappi Khorsandi, and her incredible wit and a fiery personality made the evening entertaining throughout.
However, the spotlight was firmly on the night’s winners. It was with great pride that Investis colleagues were able to share the evening with some of our clients and we were all thrilled by wins from Anglo American (Best Use of Digital Communications, FTSE 100), De La Rue (Best Use of Digital Communications, Small Cap & AIM) and David Walker of Hays, who won Best IRO.
British Land collecting one of their two awards
We are also delighted for our client British Land who picked up two awards for their work – winning Most Effective Integration of Sustainability Reporting into Communications, FTSE 100 and Best Overall Communication of Company Investment Proposition, FTSE 100.
The Best Practice Awards have influenced many improvements in investor relations practice over the years and are a much prized recognition of best-in-class performance. The quality of IR work recognised is getting better and better each year, so it’s is a real privilege for our clients to have been recognised.
